Hi! My name is Maggi. I have been using iFIT weight -loss treadmill workout cards for about 2 years. It all started when I wrote to ICON, telling them my story about how I lost 207 pounds, using one of their treadmills. I was invited to take part in an infomercial. I spent the day with two other people who had changed their lives using ICON products. We met Soc Thien, one of iFits trainers. He gave me some pointers on building upper arm strength and using free weights. I'm still working on it Soc. It was a great experience! I promptly went home and started using my iFit weight-loss workout card program on my treadmill. It's great and very easy to use. Just put the card in and get it done. Simple. Since then, I have made coaching my passion and my life's work. I become a NASM Personal Trainer, a nutritionist specializing in weight-loss, and a Life Coach! It has been a wonderful journey and I am so happy to share it with you! I feel incredibly blessed to have been given a second chance at a full life.
In addition to my work, I am also Mom to two great kids; my son is 21 and a US ARMY Airborne Ranger. (Yes, he jumps out of perfectly good airplanes!). He is married to every mom's dream daughter-in-law and they are expecting their first child in June 08! It's a GIRL! My "second wind" miracle is my 10-but-smarter-than-most-20-yr-olds future scientist who is planning to save the world from global warming while playing bass guitar in her own all-girl rock band. Both my kids were chubby kids. Both have come out of my experience with healthier bodies and the knowledge of how to stay that way.
My journey into the health and nutrition field started many years ago when I was very young, and very fat. My mother introduced me to diet pills when I was 9 years old. Starting then, it was an ongoing battle with my weight. I was a chunky kid, a chubby teenager, and ended up an obese adult. Finally, in my late 30's, a doctor told me at an annual physical that my life expectancy was 52! That caught my attention! I had two kids to raise! I started a walking program and have been walking since. I started off at 381 pounds. 15 months later, I was an amazingly healthy 139 . . . and I've been that way since! It's been 4 years and life is great!
