I run because I can. When I get tired I remember those who can't run, what they would give to have this simple gift I take for granted, and I run harder for them. I know they would do the same for me.
I've run 3 marathons but my last one was 9 years ago. So I'm focused on training for my 4th, and I'm really looking forward to incorporating Ifit; it's awesome.
Retired at least...nice to be "independently wealthy" with the time to do what I really wanted to do for many years
Currently training for my third 1/2 marathon which will be the Big Sur Marathon in Monterey, CA on November 8th! I'm looking forward to a fun weekend; pushing myself to be in great shape for it!
I like to go for brisk walks on my Nordic Track 2150. I also like to use the maps created by my fellow followers.Exercise is a commitment and I take it seriously.
I created the iRunMaps.com website where you can search for iFit coach videos and maps by keyword, coach, location, incline and distance then schedule on your iFit equipment
Goal: To stand on my head on my 75th birthday in August, 2015. Some people never grow up, I hope I'm one of them!
Winter time, no more rollerblade outside, go with elliptical...! My favorite sports: Rollerblade fsk, windsurf, ski
"I'm in love with cities I have never been to and people I have never met" 2019 goals: take 2391 mi to at least 3000 and get back to daily run/walk.
Even though it says that I've been an iFit member since 2011, my mileage really started in June 2014. I really enjoy the maps, the challenges, and meeting and engaging people here.
The profile pic is 8 years, 2 kids and 40 lbs ago... and my motivation for getting my butt back in shape. Well, at last not the shape of an oval. : )
