Santa’s Coming to Town: The Here Comes Santa 5K

For the last Live Event of 2022, we’re heading to Tempe, Arizona and celebrating the holidays with iFIT Trainer John Peel! Join the iFIT Community and don your festive holiday gear to make this event even more fun. Think Santa hats, reindeer antlers, or even candy canes! Take on this western 5K however you’d like. Walk, jog, or run it with us and get holly jolly with John!

Medal Option

The new Medal Option is available for the Here Comes Santa 5K! When you sign up for this paid option, you can participate along with your iFIT Community on your equipment or mobile device and earn the exclusive Here Comes Santa 5K medal. After the event, you’ll be able to redeem the medal.

Meet iFIT Trainer John Peel

John Peel is a former NCAA Division I football player. Upon graduating, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he worked as a celebrity trainer. Since then, he’s moved back to his home state of Arizona. Using his extensive knowledge and fitness experience, he’s opened up his own personal gym. He specializes in circuit training and transforming your body and mind. John’s workouts are fun, fast-paced, and dynamic. 

How it works

On Saturday, December 10 at 10 a.m. ET, you’ll join iFIT Trainer John Peel on your iFIT-enabled treadmill, elliptical, or through the iFIT app on your smartphone or tablet.

Join John and the iFIT family however you’d like. Use this 5K event as a recovery walk, work on jogging for longer distances, or challenge yourself to run the entire course! John will cover the 5K distance in roughly 35 minutes, so we invite you to join for as much of the time and distance at a pace that feels right for you. After finishing the race, you’ll receive your digital reward in your Trophy Case.

Joining the Live Event

Schedule the Here Comes Santa 5K on your iFIT-enabled treadmill, elliptical, or the iFIT app on your smartphone or tablet. On the day of, access the race on the home screen or in your calendar.  To join the Here Comes Santa 5K from your home screen, see the “Latest from iFIT” section. Join at least 10 minutes ahead of the starting time and scan the QR code to ask John questions about fitness, how he spends the holidays, or anything else!

Medal Option FAQs

What is the Medal Option?

We are excited to partner with event organizers and offer our members the opportunity to purchase medals for select Live Events. The medals are distributed by the event organizers, so be sure to check out the Live Events Calendar about other events offering this option.

How do I participate?

If you signed up for the Medal Option, no additional steps are required to participate. Follow these instructions to schedule or join the event on iFIT.

Where do I get my race bib?

You can download the race bib from our race blogs! Find this Live Event’s bib above.

Does the medal come with my entry?

Yes. For the Here Comes Santa 5K, the cost for this option is $20, which includes the race medal. Use code IFIT20225K to gain access to the iFIT Medal Option. You are not required to submit your timing or proof of completion to claim this reward.

Where do I submit my results after the event?

While some race organizers request race results, you are not required to submit your finish time to receive your medal.

Why is my finish time not shown on the event site results?

Because our Live Events are virtual through iFIT, your finish time will not be published on the race organizer’s website.

When will I get my medal?

All medals will be sent after the event by the Here Comes Santa 5K race organizers. If you registered for a medal prior to December 6th, you can expect to receive your medal in January 2023. If you registered for a medal December 6th or later, you can expect to receive your medal by February 1st. Please note, iFIT is not responsible for the distribution of these medals. 

I wasn’t able to finish the race due to technical difficulties. Can I be issued a refund?

We’re sorry you weren’t able to finish the race! Because these are virtual Live Events, refunds cannot be issued. We instead invite you to complete the race after it’s added to the iFIT Library. You will still receive your medal in the mail.
