Maple Chipotle Brisket

Megan Ostler

TOTAL TIME:4 hr 5 min

This is a really simple recipe for a delicious brisket that’s sure to be a big hit at the dinner table. It’s sweet with just a hint of spice, and I love that I can throw it together fast and leave it on the smoker while I enjoy my family. There’s no sweating over a hot stove! We love pairing it with asparagus, roasted broccoli, or a simple green salad. And the best part? The leftovers make delicious sandwiches the next day.

          Directions
          1. Preheat your Camp Chef smoker to high smoke.
          2. In a small bowl, mix together all the spices.
          3. Trim any excess fat from the brisket. Brush all sides with maple syrup.
          4. Generously cover the whole brisket with the spice rub.
          5. Place on smoker. Cook on high smoke for 4 hours. (If you want to cook it at 375°F, it will only take 1–2 hours, depending on the fat content of the brisket.)
          6. Remove brisket and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing it into 8 equal portions.
