
Aloha Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts
- 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks (in juice)
- 2 red peppers, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce (gluten-free, if needed)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 (8-ounce) can unsalted tomato sauce
- ¼ cup white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
Directions
- Place the chicken, pineapple, and red peppers in the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, tomato sauce, vinegar, and garlic powder. Pour over the chicken.
- Set the slow cooker to high for 4-6 hours. If desired, thicken the sauce with one tablespoon of cornstarch.
