Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- ½ cup fat-free, plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup honey
- 8 all-beef hot dogs (look for ones without nitrates)
- 16 wooden sticks
- Cooking spray
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Mix together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, mustard, and garlic.
- Mix in the butter, Greek yogurt, milk, and honey until dough forms.
- Cut the hot dogs in half, lengthwise, then peirce with wooden sticks.
- Take a small portion of the dough, then press around the hot dog until completely covered.
- Place on a greased cookie sheet, then repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
- Spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
