Stuck at a crossroads in his life, iFIT member Tim Shrubb took on the challenge of reclaiming his body through exercise. Using iFIT, Tim’s commitment to changing his life led him to become a healthier and happier version of himself. Here’s his story!
Two years ago, I was incredibly unhealthy and could barely walk for more than 10–15 minutes. I was pre-diabetic with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). I bought a used treadmill that was iFIT-enabled, although I had no idea what iFIT was at the time. I used the treadmill here and there to try and get moving.
Later, I bought a ProForm Recumbent Bike and learned more about iFIT, which I started using to gain strength and mobility in my legs. I slowly made progress but was still in horrible shape. After struggling to move and feeling sick of all the medications and the way I looked, I made a life-changing decision to get bariatric surgery.

iFIT helped save my life.
After the surgery, I started making incredible changes and began feeling significantly better. I slowly began walking outdoors more (as I hate to be inside when the weather is nice) and worked to be able to walk five to seven miles.
I sold the recumbent bike and bought a NordicTrack S15i. I now use that and the treadmill daily. I have the stamina to walk and bike again, and I've seen a number of other significant improvements in my health.
So far, I would have to say I don't have a favorite—I like them all!

I've been an iFIT member for about two years.
Push yourself daily.
I don't look at it as exercise. To me, it's just a part of my daily routine and something I have to do for myself. I use it to unwind after a day at the office, so for me, it’s relaxing.
Personally, I love the outdoor programs. Biking and walking all around the world along with the stories provided by the iFIT Trainers and Guides are amazing.
