
Honey Mustard Chicken
Ingredients
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (gluten-free, if needed)
- ⅓ cup Dijon mustard (gluten-free, if needed)
- ¼ cup low-sodium, fat-free chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 pounds chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Directions
- Combine the honey, soy sauce, Dijon, broth, apple cider vinegar, garlic, paprika, and salt in a bowl.
- Place the chicken in the bottom of a slow cooker and pour the honey mixture on top.
- Cook for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
- Before serving, remove the chicken and shred it. To thicken the sauce, dissolve 2 tablespoons cornstarch in 2 tablespoons water, then add to the liquid in the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
