
Ingredients
- ¾ cup teff flour
- ¼ cup almond flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup dairy-free chocolate chips (Set aside ¼ cup to sprinkle on top)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line an 8x8” pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together the teff flour, almond flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix together oil, applesauce, and sugar.
- Add the eggs, one at a time.
- Stir until blended.
- Add the dry ingredients, then stir until mixed.
- The batter is pretty thick, so it’ll take some mixing.
- Fold in ½ cup chocolate chips.
- Pour into lined pan, then spread out evenly.
- Top with remaining chocolate chips, then bake for 20–25 minutes.*
- Remove and cool.
- Cut into 12 pieces, then enjoy!
*I like mine super gooey, so I cook for 20 minutes. Feel free to cook for shorter or longer, depending on your preference.
