Pizza Wraps

By making these pizza rolls on whole wheat tortillas instead of on a thick pizza crust, you’ll lower the carbohydrate and calorie content while adding important nutrients such as B-vitamins and fiber. Much like regular pizza, the toppings can change the nutrition facts on a slice of pizza. Be sure to choose lean meats (such as chicken or 95% lean beef) and load up on the veggies. These pizza wraps are easy to make and perfect for a busy weeknight. Serve with a side salad for a low-calorie, quick meal.

          1. Spread 1 tablespoon low-sodium tomato sauce on each tortilla.
          2. Top with 2 tablespoons meat (if using) and 2-4 tablespoons of veggies.
          3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese on top. Wrap up like a burrito and microwave for 1 minute until the cheese is melted. Enjoy!
          4. These also freeze well. To freeze, lay each wrap on a cookie sheet and place in a freezer overnight. The next day, transfer to an airtight container. To heat, wrap in a paper towel and microwave for 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
