Join Us for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K

Prepare for the warmth of spring and continue your St. Patrick’s Day celebration with the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K! Join iFIT Trainer Gideon Akande and thousands of runners and walkers as you start in Grant Park, travel Chicago’s Loop, and finish back in Grant Park. A Chicago native, Gideon help guide you through this race as you take in the energy from the crowd and begin the spring race season!

Meet iFIT Trainer Gideon Akande

A Chicago native and lifelong athlete, Gideon Akande graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, where he played NCAA Division I football. In 2010, he became a full-time personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Since then, Gideon has become a two-time Chicago Golden Gloves champion and national winner of the Men’s Health Next Top Trainer competition. His versatile training techniques will challenge your body in every direction, as he consistently motivates with his positive attitude, contagious energy, and wholehearted belief in each person’s success. 

How it works

UPDATED iFIT BROADCAST DATE: This race will be filmed on March 20th, then aired on March 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. ET so the iFIT Community can complete it together. 

On Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. ET, join Gideon Akande on your iFIT-enabled treadmill, elliptical, or the iFIT app on your smartphone or tablet. It will also be rebroadcast that evening at 8 p.m. ET.

This is your race, so set a pace that’s comfortable for you. A few days after you’ve participated in the race, you’ll receive an email with your digital reward.

Joining the race

Join us for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K by tapping the “Live” icon on your iFIT-enabled treadmill, elliptical, or in the iFIT app. Although this race is pre-recorded, you’ll run it with the iFIT Community on March 26!

Train for the race

Want to get some miles in before the 8K? Join iFIT Train Knox Robinson in the South Africa Foundations of Running Series to help you work on your running form prior to race day. Together, you’ll explore the beauty of South Africa as Knox teaches you about how to be a strong runner.
