About the Balkans
Also known as the Balkan Peninsula, the Balkans is a region in southeastern Europe that spans 13 countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. The peninsula borders waters, including the Adriatic Sea in the northwest, the Black Sea in the northeast, and the Aegean Sea in the south. Its highest point, Mount Musala, peaks at 9,596 feet (2,925 meters) in Bulgaria.
With each workout filmed in the Balkans, you’ll run through some of the most breathtaking places in the world, like the Julian Alps and the waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes, while getting stronger and training for your big race!
About the workouts
In part 1 of the 10K training series, Tommy will coach you through 24 intermediate workouts to help you get race ready. Each week, you’ll tackle 2 pillar workouts, 3 recovery runs, and 1 long run, all designed to help you become faster, stronger, more efficient, and aerobically fit.
With an average workout length of fewer than 45 minutes, you’re bound to stay motivated and improve your performance as you take in the beautiful sights.
