Ingredients
- 12 cups water
- 1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
- 2 ounces dried sorrel
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- ½ cup orange juice
- 8 allspice berries
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 cups light brown sugar
Directions
- Place all the ingredient, except the brown sugar, into a large pot.
- Cover, then simmer for 1 hour.
- Add the sugar, stirring continually until dissolved.
- Chill in the refrigerator.
