Sorrel Punch

Ingredients

  • 12 cups water
  • 1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced
  • 2 ounces dried sorrel
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 8 allspice berries
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 cups light brown sugar

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredient, except the brown sugar, into a large pot.
  2. Cover, then simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Add the sugar, stirring continually until dissolved.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator.
