Ashley Paulson's Washington Endurance Running Series: Zone 2 Training on the Bigfoot 200 Course
The Tahoe Endurance Running Series was just the beginning.
Ashley Paulson is back with five new runs, and this time she is taking you to Washington, through the trails of the Bigfoot 200 course, as part of the impossible year she’s been chasing.
The Washington Endurance Running Series builds on everything you started in Tahoe. Five workouts, 50 minutes each, all Zone 2, all intermediate. If you ran Tahoe with Ashley, you know what this training is built for. If this is your entry point, you are in the right place.

What Ashley covers across the five runs
This series goes deeper than the basics. Ashley built it around the coaching she wishes she had before her biggest races, and she delivers it across 50 minutes of real trail running in Washington.
You will cover hill strategy, specifically how to run inclines in a way that does not cost you the rest of your race. You will talk about running through whatever conditions the course throws at you: rain, wind, terrain that does not cooperate. Ashley goes into advanced fueling for deep efforts, when your body starts negotiating and you need to know how to answer. Recovery that actually sticks. Race simulation that teaches you to make smart decisions under pressure before race day forces you to figure it out. And running economy, how to hold your form when your legs have nothing left and form is the only thing keeping you moving.

Part of Ashley’s Impossible Year
Ashley Paulson's Bigfoot 200 is one of the most demanding ultra-endurance events in the country. The Washington Endurance Running Series puts you on part of that course alongside her, during one of the most ambitious years of her athletic life. This is not just a training series. It is a front-row seat to what elite endurance preparation actually looks like.
Zone 2. Fifty minutes at a time.
Every workout is built around Zone 2, the steady, sustainable effort that builds a base you can actually race on. Fifty minutes is long enough to develop real endurance and short enough to fit into a week of consistent training. Show up five times and you will feel the difference.
Washington is waiting.
