Stay Active Through the Holidays With the iFIT App!
The holiday season is quickly approaching, which may bring potential hiccups to the fitness routine you’ve created over the past year. Maybe you’re traveling to see family and friends or hosting a special gathering in your home this year. However the holiday season looks for your family, it’s a joyous time filled with priceless memories (and delicious food!).

If you’re wondering how you’ll keep active amidst time spent with family and friends, you’re not alone. With all the festivities and business of the season, your fitness routine may have been set aside in the past. Luckily, it’s easy to keep your body moving while enjoying all that the holidays have to offer! Here are a few quick tips to help you stay active:
- Block out time for daily movement, even if that means a short 10 to 20-minute walking workout. At the end of the day, moving your body is the goal!
- Wake up before the rest of your family to hop into a stretching session, yoga workout, or strength workout. Night owl? Stay up a little later after everyone goes to sleep!
- Snowing outside? Make winter weather a part of an outdoor workout: trek into the snow for a walk with family or have a fun snowball fight with the kids!
If you plan on being away from home over the holidays, don’t fret about leaving your iFIT-enabled equipment. With the iFIT fitness app, you can take your favorite iFIT Trainers with you (don’t worry, they travel light). If you’ll be staying with someone who owns similar equipment or close to a local gym, you can access the entire iFIT Library from the app, including our holiday and winter workout series. You’ll simply select the workout you’d like to do and then choose to go unpaired.
No equipment? No problem! The iFIT TV app allows you to hop into a great workout with no equipment needed. Now enhanced with closed captioning and music stations, our TV app allows you to customize your workout experience however you’d like!
Here are a few workout series to help you knock out your daily exercise while training away from home. Best of all, they’ll help you get into that holiday spirit!

Bike around the North Pole
Have you always wanted to see the North Pole? Now, you can! iFIT Trainer John Wessling guides you through snowy Alaska in his North Pole Mini Cycle Series. Over these three bike workouts, you’ll ride through the famous Ice Art Park light show, visit the North Pole, and more. Get ready for a wintery wonderland adventure!

Go for a wintery row in Glacier National Park
Ready for stunning views of sun-lit glaciers, hidden lakes, and forested mountain ranges? Head to Montana with iFIT Trainers Susan Francia and Stesha Carle for the Glacier Beginner Rowing Series. You’ll sharpen your rowing technique while taking in some incredible sights as your backdrop for the holiday season!

Strength training in chilly Iceland
With an average temperature of 33-35°F in the winter, Iceland is the perfect destination for building new strength over the holidays! In the Iceland Time Crunch Series, iFIT Trainers Jonnie Gale and Hannah Eden will coach you through the grandeur of Iceland, where you’ll run intervals and work on strength.

Have a little more time on your hands? Join these iFIT Trainers in their lengthier Iceland Strength Series! Similar to the Iceland Time Crunch Series, this workout series features 18 workouts that are all about HIIT intervals and strength training. You won’t need access to equipment for these workouts—just your bodyweight and dumbbells are required! Get to work with Jonnie and Hannah in this workout series on the iFIT mobile or TV app.

Beat the winter blues in Bermuda
Winter not your season? Make like a bird and travel off to warmer weather in tropical Bermuda! In the Bermuda Beginner Vinyasa Yoga Series, iFIT Trainer Shelley Dawson guides you through refreshing yoga workouts with the island’s stunning beaches, tucked away coves, fascinating historical sites, and more as your tropic scenery!

Keep the humbug out of your holiday season by sticking to the fitness routine you’ve established. With the iFIT app, you can start on these wintery workouts wherever you go. When you make time for your fitness goals, you’ll be able to enjoy all the merriment without the unnecessary guilt!

How to Bring Your A-Game to the Train for a Tour Series (Part 1/3)
If you’re familiar with the cycling world and follow European racing, you may have come across both myself and the team I coach, the UAE Team Emirates. I’m Kevin Poulton and have coached for nearly 25 years, specializing in Spring Classics riders and sprinters. In that time, I’ve been fortunate to coach elite World Tour professionals and work with some of the best teams in the sport. My athletes have secured victories in Paris-Roubaix, Tour de France stage wins, World Championship Road Race podiums, and multiple Spring Classics podiums. And now, you’re my next athlete! The Series Structure I designed the Train for a Tour Series much like the programs I use at UAE Team Emirates’ training camps. Over six weeks, your iFIT Trainers (all of which are pro cyclists themselves) will run you through an immersive World Tour pre-season experience. You’ll train in Mallorca, Spain, as it is the ultimate training destination for professionals. Every winter, World Tour teams flock to the island for their pre-season camps, and for good reason. The terrain is incredibly diverse, offering long, steady climbs, rolling hills, and flat coastal roads—exactly what’s needed to develop all aspects of cycling fitness. The Train for a Tour Series gradually builds in intensity, taking you from controlled endurance efforts to high-powered, race-specific efforts. The workouts follow a carefully structured progression: Early Weeks: Lower-intensity, steady-state efforts with proper recovery, laying the foundation for improved aerobic endurance and efficiency.Mid-Series: More focused interval work, targeting different energy systems, including fast-twitch muscle activation, anaerobic power, and high-intensity efforts.Final Weeks: Race-like sessions, including VO2 max intervals, lactate tolerance efforts, and short recoveries, mimicking the demands of competition. If you follow my training program as I’ve laid out (and you ensure that the SmartAdjust™ feature on your bike is on), you can expect to see improvements in your cycling performance, endurance, and ability to sustain high-intensity efforts.
